Met Father Zantis who gave us some Healing potions. He reported a disturbance in the local cemetery: Bone Yard He’s headed to Meet with Sheriff Hemlock
It seems the goblins were on a secret mission. 5 tribes working together under a “longshanks” The seem to have arrived at the north gate.
People have started calling us the “Wild Rovers”
found a crypt near the wall 20’x20’ and detected some tracks in the mud outside of it. Seems most of the tracks and enter AND leave… maybe one in there.
Hemlock opens the door and we find two skeletons inside. I open up in song and make Ash’n disappear. I hide and sneak forward. The party swiftly dispatches the skeletons.
It seems they’ve taken Father Ezekiel’s body from the tomb. I found a faintly magical robe in the tomb.
On the way to the north gate, We run across Emile, comforting her injured child. She claimed a creature attacked and hit her 3 yr old child Vera. The guys went inside and I went around back. The dog was making noise… and is silent now. Ferg finds an injured, still half elf. Seems to be completely dead. They go from door to door searching for something.
They’re surprised by a goblin named Gresgurt that jumps out and swipes him hard with his dagger.
It looks like the goblin came out of a hole in the floor of the child’s bed. Scraps and bred found in the hole… Probably been hiding there since the festival.
The Sheriff has us meet with Shalelu Andosana and Mayor Deverin. Shalelu has a chuckle when the Sheriff metions the town guard. She saved a family from the goblin attacks yesterday. She is concerned about the goblin tribes working together.
Shalelu tells us, “Belor’s told me of your work against the goblins - well done. I’ve dedicated the last several years of my life to keeping them from causing too much trouble around these parts, but they’re tenacious and fecund little runts. Like weeds that bite.
“There are five major goblin tribes in the region, and, traditionally, they’re pretty good at keeping each other in line with intertribal squabbles and the like. Yet from what I’ve been able to piece together, members of all five tribes were involved in the raid on Sandpoint. A fair number of the Mosswood goblins I dealt with yesterday were already pretty beat up, and there was a lot of chatter about the ‘longshanks’ who killed so many of them. Now that I’ve met you, it seems obvious from their descriptions who they were talking about. Seems like you’ve made an impression.
“In any event, the fact that the five tribes are working together disturbs me. Goblin tribes don’t get along unless they’ve got something big planned, and big plans require big bosses. I’m afraid that someone’s moved in on the goblins and organized them. And judging by these recent raids, what they’re organizing seems like bad news for all of us.”
I made an express emphasis to the mayor so that she would know us and the rovers. Shalelu invited us to meet her for dinner.
We proceeded to check the North Gate but didn’t see anything alarming. Ferg was curious about the rock/tower on the west side of Sandpoint. You know the one by the junk and waste backwater…
Spent some time at The Pillbug’s Pantry and The Feathered Serpent until we finally return to the Rusty Dragon and get updated by Shalelu:
Eventually we meet Lonjiku Kaijitsu and he doesn’t get along so well with Ash’n which leads to hard words between Lonjiku and Ameiko and finally pulling her hair when Ash’n steps in and scares him off… but not without a set of unkind words to Ameiko.
Lonjiku responds attacking Ameiko “You’re as dead to me as your mother.”
After his departure, the crowd in the tavern cheers and Ameiko invites us to stay at the inn another week. She sends a bar maid with the “good” drinks.
In the morning eating breakfast, a female halfling barmaid requests to speak with us privately. She introduces herself as ???.
She has found Ameiko missing and hasn’t slept in her bed. Today is the day she makes the “fancy” breakfast. Along with that news she reports “I found this note.”
The note was from Tsuto her illegitimate half-elf brother. She requests we go to the Glassworks as soon as possible to try and find Ameiko.
